I'm new to this forum but finding it very usefull already. I have just taken on Blackberry support for my company for the UK. I do not touch the BES as this is all hosted out of Mexico so it's pretty much enterprise account activation and device support that I do now.
I have a senistive issue with one of our VIP's using an 8100 Pearl.
Basically we setup Enterprise accounts on our Blackberrys running Lotus Notes 6.5. It seem's that the device has "reconfigured itself" to use the Blackberry Internet Service Account rather that the Enterprise account, therefore the VIP no longer has access to his email, address book etc.
Now I am no Blackberry Guru as yet but I'm pretty certain that a Blackberry cannot do this "reconfiguration" without user intervention? Am I right?
Typically, he has also said that he wants his address book urgently, so I said well the address book within Lotus Notes should be the same as on your Blackberry. "oh it's never syncronized" came the reply.
So I basically have 2 questions..
a. Do you think he, or someone with his device, would have had a go at configuring a different email account and more importantly
b. Now the device is configured for a different type of account is his original address book recoverable?
