Default Phone to turn itself on at 9am 4th April??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just turned my new Blackberry 8120 off for the first time and got this message:

'The device is scheduled to turn on at 09:00 4th April'

Why is this and how do I turn this function off?

Options > Auto On/Off.

Or the Alarm setting. You will see that upon turning the device off, if either is set.

Good luck!

Menu>Options>Auto On/Off> (Weekday = DISABLED) (Weekend = DISABLED)

Good luck!

Three more questions rather than starting a new thread..

Is the 8120 compatible with an 8GB memory card? I have just bought a 4GB card as the mobile memory website said it can handle up to 4GB, but I have just read a review that said they tested an 8GB card and it was fine..

(I did click the link people posted with reference to this discussion but there was no info there?)

I read another review that talked about XM radio and the 8120, what is this?

Lastly, I read you can tweak the sound, namely bass/treble etc, how can I do this as I can't find options to do this..

Thanks!

8gb Micro SD perfect for the 8120, yes. OS 4.3 allows up to 8gb.

On your OS, I "think" the sound equalizer is present.

Look at Media > Menu > Options > Headset Equalizer... bass boost, treble boost, etc. Is that what you need?

I don't have that headset equalizer option..

I'm trying to download the 4.3 software but it gets to about 5% and stops and gives an error message..

It's happened 4 times now, the message I get is:

'Internet explorer cannot download 430_bo25_english.exe from BlackBerry
The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response'

That feature could in the next OS release not available yet. That is why I asked.

OS 4.3 something should already be on your 8120. Are you trying to download Desktop Manager 4.3?
