Default downloading to media card

Please Login to Remove!

How do I specify that I want a download to go to the media card? I tried to download the guitar hero 3 demo and it says I do not have enough memory, but does not give me an option to go to my media card which has oodles of memory.
Thanks,
Steve

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

You can't load apps to the Media card.

Default hmmmm

So, i guess we are very limited by the internal memory on the bb? That kind of stinks. Any suggestions? I didn't think I had all that much loaded. What do people do that want a bunch of games on the device?

You can only put "media" like ringtones, videos and music to the Media Card. You can not load an application to the Media Card.

How much free memory do you have on the BlackBerry (Options / Status will show you the free space). There is a thread (I don't have the link handy) on how to optimize the memory on your BB (delete unnecessary themes, pictures, videos) to free up internal memory.

You can free up about 30-35mb of internal memory pretty easily. Games that play on the Pearl don't take up a lot of memory. Of course it's not what I'd call a gaming device anyway. The stuff that takes up memory is video, and you can store a lot on a card.

Default Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I will start to free up some memory
Do pictures, video, etc. automatically save to the media card if one is installed?

Also, what games are good? I notice that they are a bit expensive for what they are. My friend has an envy and the games for that are about $3 each i believe and for the bb it looks like most are like $15.
Steve

I have a PSP so I'm not looking to my bb for good games, but a few fun ones would be nice.

only if you save it that way. go to the camera application, hit menu, options, then set the default saving location.
