Default scrolling through pictures (8120, OS v4.3)

When I'm viewing a picture file, how do I simply move to the next picture without closing it then opening the next one? The BB literature says to press "6" or "4" to move to the next or previous item respectively. That does nothing for me. I don't want to have to use the slide show feature just to show somebody consecutive pictures.

How can such a simple feat be impossible?

I can't get it to work, either. What might be a little quicker is pressing in the trackball and then choosing next (or previous). Is that an option for you?

On the 8100 you just press six [6] to get to the next and four [4] to go to the previous.

Not sure if its the same though.

-edit-
and of course i didnt read your whole post and you already knew what i said.

unfortunately, this is a known problem, i'd almost guarantee that this will be fixed in 4.5

Nope. I am running 4.5 (on a 8100 though) and you can't use 4 & 6.

3 zooms in
9 zooms out
L rotates 90'

Nothing else works (except back and menu of course)
