Unhappy problem with my black berry track ball

Please Login to Remove!

hello friends,
i am one of the user of blackberry pearl.. i am very happy with this cell from past two months but the problem started now. i can easily navigate to icons using my track ball but some times i cant able to select the icon by using track ball. and some times it is becoming very sensitive.. it is selecting the high lightened icons by itself and creating a mess. for example when i am talking with my friends with out my knowledge it press itself and select the mute button from that(the defalut one) and unmute button too.. or else when i am seeing the address book it selects a number and initiates the call.. it is becoming very problematic to me. so maximum time i am locking the phone it tries to select but it cant be possible when it is unlock so, the back light lits maximum time and my battery life is decreasing..please guys any one help me.. i bought this cell phone on jan 31st from wirefly and i have one year company warranty. please tell me what to do if i have to claim the warranty and the other thing is there is dust under the screen too.. what to do with this?

Welcome to the forums! If you are under warrenty then return the device. You can try a hard reset (battery pull while the device is on) leave the battery out for 20 seconds and reinsert.

Otherwise, has the device been exposed to moisture? Check the indicator located under the battery by the sim. It's a white square. If it's white you are fine. If it's red then you have a problem.

Good Luck!

Pull the battery out and next to the SIM card is a small white square on the edge of the frame. Mounted on the side of the slot where the battery goes. Is it white or red?

There is debate on the red X's on the battery. Did the device get wet?

Some are right near the bottom of the battery, near where the contacts are, on the bottom lip of the opening.
