Default Help! Pearl buttons not responding

Please Login to Remove!

My blackberry pearl turns on and I get to the main screen. My trackball will let me scroll between the bottom panel but when I press any buttons on the keypad there is no response. It also keeps turning off after a few minutes and i'll have to take out the battery and put it back to restart it. It is taking extra time to boot up and i have the same problem every time.

It does not appear to be a simcard problem because I tried my simcard in another phone and it worked fine. I'm on T-Mobile.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Has there been any moisture contact to the device?

I think when I put the phone in my bag next to my bottle of water it may have gotten a little moist. When i felt around inside my bag it wasn't wet so I dont think there was that much water.

Open the battery compartment, remove the battery and look up toward the SIM card slot, you will see small 1/8" white or red square. What color it is?

That is very definitely water or liquid damage. Remove the battery immediately.

I've been drying the phone for several days now. I tried it again and there is no progress.
