Default Getting a Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I live in Vancouver and am eligible to upgrade hardware. I currently use SE and would like to move on. I am thinking of the LG Shine or perhaps trying out a blackberry. I am a student who will be obviously getting the eoffice if I get the blackberry. I am planning to do some homework right on the blackberry when I am out or killing time somewhere. However, the data plans here in Canada are crazy with system access fee, 911 (all monthly) fees add ons. Do you think I should just get a Shine or try to the blackberry? Anyone who moved to a blackberry from a normal phone...please give some insights.

I also wanted to ask...how much can I do with 4 mb a month? I hear people using like 200 mb on the first month and getting blackberry bills of $800 etc. I don't want that to happen so any advice would be great. As I said, I am a student so will be getting eoffice or some other word application to work on homework and e-mail. I probably won't be doing a lot of browsing.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

You have to decide what you will use it for? The good thing is that they generally have 30 day guarantees.

a lot of canadian BlackBerry users are choosing wifi enabled BlackBerrys to reduce some of the consumption from a subscribed xMB per month allotment.
