Default Is my Pearl permanently jacked up?

I carried my phone in my pants after swimming in a hot tub in my boxers. The boxers werenít completely dry and must have gotten my phone somewhat wet. None of the indicators on the phone show up red or pink but my phone died for that night. After charging it for a few hours the next day it worked fine for about three hours then shut off. Now I can use it for a few minutes after pulling out the battery before it flashes and restarts. If Iím in the process of making a call it continues to work till Iím done. If I am looking at anything else it will shut off after a few minutes and reboot. Hard to run a biz with this going on. Iíve been trying to keep the battery out to let it dry out all the way in case this is the problem.

One other thing going on is when I push down on the trackball it thinks Iím pressing the QW button. I can get around this by using the enter button every time I want to select something but it doesnít help if the phone will only turn on for a minute before flashing off.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so what did you do. I want to wait to take it into AT&T to see if it fixes itself cause they donít offer insurance.

put your BB in a cup of uncooked rice for about 2 days. the rice will absorbe the moisture out of your device.

I'll give it a shot. Do I take out the battery and leave the case open when I put it in the rice.

Yes, it's best to disassemble it as much as possible which is take the cover off and battery out, this way it will get the moisture out faster.
