ok i have a question is there going to be a 4.5 os for the 8120 or since 4.3 was renamed 4.5 thats already the os on there, because the screenshots im seeing look a whole lot different from what i have on my 8120?

4.3 was NOT renamed 4.5. OS 4.3.1 has been renamed 4.5. The 8120 launches with 4.3.0.x which is still 4.3, the same as the 8110, and the 8130. Going forward, there will be a 4.5 for the 81xx series, but when that launches is anyones guess.

oh okay thank god cause im still looking forward to 4.5 and i was hoping when i upgraded from the 8100 i would be able to

well the 8100 will also get 4.5. the main differences are the WIFI, the external media card slot, and the video recording (the 8120 also has a brighter flash but this is neither here nor there)

yeah well i still have no idea why were still waiting for 4.5 i dont know if you guys read that o2 future release thing all over Google but rumors said it was coming out today and its today and no 4.5... but anyways it said future releases for the 8120 were expected march 08 well i dont get how its april and they still did not post the future release?

the release on o2 said nothing about 4.5. They said there would be a software update available. it is entirely possible that sometime during the month it would be released (or another 4.2/4.3 version will be). The website states April 08, thats the year indicator not the day.

I think that was meant as March 2008 and April 2008. And as Sith said, no guarantees it's for 4.5 and not just another 4.2 or 4.3.0
