For most, but not all, of the names I enter when composing a new e-mail an e-mail address is not recognized. I know the e-mail addresses are in my address book. When I look the contacts up in my address book they don't come up either. When I scroll through my contacts they are there.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why. Any thoughts?

First thing to try is a hard reset (remove battery for a half minute).

I was thinking filter, but you say you find the contact if you scroll, correct?

Excellent! . . . Spread the word, a hard reset fixes most oddball things most of the time.
