Guys I do apologise for the continued questions, but like I say im new to the Blackberry.

Ok when i go to my address book it shows only sim phone book contacts how can i print all my contacts out and enter them manually into the actual proper phone address book or is there a simple way of acheiving this.

you can copy all of your contacts from your SIM card to your device...

go to address book > select SIM phone book > Hit the blackberry key (menu key) > select copy all to address book.

You can edit them one by one once you have them copied to your device address book.

By default most of your numbers will go into the work field so you will need to manually edit them.

If you get problems with the numbers showing when someone calls you. Go to your call log folder hit menu key, select options then smart dialing. Once here enter +44 for your country code & 11 for the national number length.

I'm from NI too

No. I do not use instant messaging. PIN messaging is ok though, very similar to text messaging.

Hotmail is best used with a hotmail plus account which you have to pay for. I use Yahoo which works very well.

Here is o2's BIS website for setting up your email. You can either do it here or via the email set up icon on your desktop.

BlackBerry Internet Service

Select create new account and follow the instructions. To find your pin & imei number go to options > status on your BB.

When you have finished go to the column on the left & select send service books.

Don't forget to make note of your username & password for logging in. The method is much the same if you use the email set up icon on the BB and the login & password details will be the same.

Hope this helps.

I have registered my handset and created a user name and password and althought i have been using computers for a number of years i dont understand the next part when it asks you to create email address. What do i do here do i put my hotmail address in or do i create a yahoo or forward my hotmails to my o2 account and then have them forwarded to my blackberry account this is the part that confuses me. Its probably me being a Rodney ( only fools and horses ) and confusing myself. PIN messaging ????? whats this all about. As much as i love the phone i have every day i either find something new to do or love it even more.

Lol PIN Messaging is where you use your device pin number to contact other bb users. Its quite cool.
Will get back to you later about email set up as I'm at work right now. I will need to use my pc to check the email set up method.

Maybe someone else will come along in the meantime & help you .

Btw I do not use the o2 email address, if hotmail is your only working email account use that. To use yahoo you need to set up with yahoo first and get an address if you do not already have one.

Hope I am not confusing you!
