is there any way to disable the auto-sentence capitalization? it's bothering the heck out of me when I'm trying to type usernames, unix commands in midpssh, and so on... plus very few people i know that i e-mail actually care about capitalization...

Have you tried disabling auto text in the options?

No, you cannot turn off the auto-capitalization. To correct it, just backspace and type the letter a second time for the lower case.

As far as being correct, your friends won't care then that you also got it right, will they?

no, but if i'm discussing math or computer science, editing a wiki, or telling someone how to do something on a unix system, it matters that i get the cases of those terms correct... and my username gets accidentally capitalised a lot on a lot of websites... the specified caps helps though, thanks for the suggestion.

i only mentioned my friends here because basically i do not need to capitalise, generally, so leaving it off all the time would be the most efficient for me since i have many situations where i don't want it to happen.
