Default 8120 on orange UK. unable to set up email pls help

Please Login to Remove!

I don't have all the options on my 8120 handset when I go to setup wizard > email setup. I only have the option of connecting to enterprise server or skipping email setup. How can I resolve this. My getting started guide says I should have the option "blackberry internet service option" and I don't please tell me how I can get this option back thanks

If the phone is new I would call the carrier and clarify if the set you up with a BIS or BES plan. Sounds like BES to me. Even with BES you should still be able to set up BIS email. Try via PC.

Start here:

Good luck!

if you are with orange, then you need to go (on your computer) to BlackBerry Internet Service, register your blackberry, log in and then you will be able to set up your e mail account from there.

cheers pnp23...
Ok here's what I have done so far...
I have created an email address (my main home email address that is accessed via pop3) but blackberry seems to only let you access this via imap.... anyway. I added that and I have also successfully created a ****@blackberry.orange.co.uk and sent a test email to that account. It hasn't bounced back so it must have gone somewhere. I have no idea where though or how to see it... Any ideas ??? thanks

I did a google search for 'how to set up a blackberry.orange.co .Uk email address' & I found a link to an orange help page that said to begin using this email address you had to log into 'orange.net'. There are instructions there for you to follow so google the exact same words that I did and you should find this help page.

Good luck.

Here is the link. I may have been mistaken about the orange.net log in. Sorry.

Ps. I'm not a Mr

Also did you resend service books after entering the email address?

I've got the exact same problem, 8120, on orange.

I took it into Phones4u, and their so called blackberry wonderkid (who actually said a handset with a broken trackerball was 'working fine') couldn't fix it.

Now the orange internet is playing up.

I'm trying to find the email service books online, so I can install them on my device via the desktop software, anyone have any ideas where I can find them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
