the battery life on my 8120 is pretty horrible. almost new, it lasts for about a day with normal use (maybe a couple of short calls, and a couple hours of web & mail usage).

anyone find the same?

i do have wifi and mobile network both on. i realise wifi could be a drain, but it improves the reception in my workplace so much :-/

WiFi crushes the battery. What OS are you using?

i'm gonna test this over the next couple days.
since in my workplace wifi is plentiful but mobile reception sucks, so i am wondering if it is actually the searching for signal now and then that is killing the battery more than the wifi. that would kind of suck, because with only wifi, things would work great except i can't walk around and talk without the mobile network (wifi-mobile handover is great, wifi-wifi handover is nonexistent from my tests).

now i if wifi is in fact the drain, i guess i can live with just the mobile network most of the time when i don't need much data access other than the push e-mail, but then again, my reception sucks and calls are choppy, even though i can walk around :-/
