Default Help! Pearl keyboard no longer working - Why?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I have a black t-mobile pearl, and all the sudden, as of the last 3 days, my entire keypad is no longer working!

no water damage indicated as by the sensor, the trackball can scroll through everythin BUT you can't press any of the buttons, at least it won't detect that you do!

Please, I need help, i love that phone, and don't know why! tried resetting it by pullin the battery, and it didn't help!

t-mobile rep. didn't know what to do, and neither does blackberry technical support!

Take it to the T-Mo store, they will replace it for free, under the 1 year warranty

"no water damage indicated as by the sensor"

This means nothing. Did the keyboard get wet? Even with just a little rain? You can damage the device with liquid/moisture even though the indicator is not tripped.

Did you get the phone wet?

Have you tried removing the battery?

the keypad could have gotten possibly wet, but not severly at all! at the most 1-3 drops of rain!

i pulled the battery numerous times! checked the water indicator and nothin! the phone works! i can receive phone calls and everything, i can even scroll with the track ball, i just can press any buttons in!

1-3 drops of rain in the right place can do it. It's possible it's something else, though, too.

so is it legit that t-mobile claims they can't replace it EVEN though i have insurance on the phone, just because i am not the original owner of the phone, but have had the phone for a long time now and been paying insurance for over 5 months while on it?
