I got my blackberry 8110 replaced today as my old 1 was thrashed, yet I kept the old memory card. It wouldn't read the files and I looked it up - it said I had to format the card. So I tried it on the phone, and it came up "Memory Card Format Failed"... I read using a memory card reader on your pc can fix it but unfortunately I don't have one, and everytime I plug my 8110 into the pc and turn on Mass Storage Mode the Red LCD lights up and the phone resets.
Any clues?

Sounds like a faulty Media Card to me.

Pull the Media Card from the BB, and try resetting the BB, reboot.

Media card worked fine before.. thats the weird thing.
Its got quite a few important files on so I dont want to get it swapped ..
resetting didnt work either (battery Pull).
