Yesterday when I was driving through town, some jerk-off cut me off and I had to slam my brakes on, sending my phone flying to the floorboard. Ever since then, I've been having a lot of frustrating issues with my phone.

The first problem I had was at times the tracker ball wouldn't work, I could still scroll around but when I tried selecting something with it, nothing would happen. This problem happens off and on, but can be very frustrating.

Then later that afternoon my phone just starting taking pictures, several pictures in a row. It usually starts doing this when I try to use my phone in some manner, wether it's texting or making a call.

And now the latest thing is, what ever is selected will automatically open, as if the tracker ball is stuck(but it isn't).

It was to the point where I had the messages option highlighted, it would automatically open my text messages and then it would try to take a picture, I kept pressing the back button to cancel but about 5 seconds later it would do the same thing. This went on for 10-15 minutes.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Should I take it back to where I purchased it and have them look at it?

Start with a hard reset, (battery pull while the device is ON screen light up).
If that doesn't solve it then I am guessing hardware. You can try taking the trackball out to see if there is physical damage and replace for about $10.00

Sorry, I should have included that I have taken that battery out in sheer frustration while it's taking those pictures... I'll try removing the track ball and see what it looks like.

are you still under the 12 month manufacture's warrenty? if you are, i would bakc up the device and get verizon to do a warrenty exchange. but don't tell them it was caused by a drop.

My parents bought the phone for me in March for my birthday, so I guess the manufacturer's warranty should still be in effect. Thanks I'll probably do that next week(I definitely need it this weekend though hopefully it won't act up too much)

Your best bet is to take it back. You don't want to spend time fooling around with it if its never going to work the same again.

Might not be covered if its determined that it is physical damage. Try to take it back, but keep in mind they *might* not fix it for you.
