Default screen goes to sleep too quickly

Please Login to Remove!

I wander if you can help I have a 8120 and occasionally (not all the time) if I leave the controls alone for one second the display goes to sleep. I can't find the option to change the time out for this. Can anybody help please. Thanks

Is the device locked when this happens?

Yeah, I've had users complain about this as well. But to be honest, why would you need the lock screen to stay on for more than a few seconds?

If the device is locked why does it matter that the screen turns off?

well let me elaborate.... staying on the locked subject well the unlock proceedure isn't exactly fast and the display can grey out before the phone excepts the unlock. BUT... when the phone is unlocked is there a way to get the backlight to stay on for a certain amount of time after the keypad is touched. It goes to sleep far too quickly... in options > screen/keypad backlight timeout is set to 45 seconds and automatic dim backlight is set to off. Any help appreciated

Change the backlight timeout to a higher setting.
