Default Trackball can't move left

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so my trackball can move up,down,right but it can't move tot he left! I think while putting my wet gatorade bottle in the same pocket with my pearl some water got in. But any solutions how to get it moving left again?

Wirelessly posted (life goes on! yes it is tough)

Try pressing firmly down on trackball and roll in direction that ball doesn't work see if that helps could be some lint or dust that needs dislodging

That is the RIM recommended fix for that problem. Should fix you up. I usually press and hold the mute key to put it in standby first then push and roll the ball. Fixes it every time.

Same thing happened to my sisters Pearl. You might have to buy a new track ball assembly.

I would just continue to try it. It will free up. You can pop the chrome ring off and pop the trackball assembly out too, if you're brave. However the push and roll works but sometimes it takes a quite a few times.
