Default Downloading pictures to PC

How do I download pictures to my PC? I have USB cable that came with the phone. When I connect it my PC recognizes the "removable disc" but when I click on it I get an error "please insert disc". I do NOT have a media card in my phone.

Thanks!

hello karen and welcome to blackberryforums...

it is highly recommended that you get yourself a media card for this. device memory is valuable to optimum level of operation and will hurt performance if media is loaded onto the device instead of a media card.

as for the question, you will need to do this through media manager since your pc will not recognize the BB as a "removable disc" without a media card.

Dinan3,

Thanks for your reply. Getting a media card is now on my 'to do' list as it likely explains the 'delay' i've recently started experiencing in my phone performance.

Pardon the ignorance (very new Blackberry user) ... where is Media Manager and once I find it is it self-explanatory? (I am somewhat PC literate

don't apologize and don't be so hard on yourself, we've all been down that road

But yes, media manager is located inside of Desktop Manager...just open the Desktop Manager on your PC and plug in your device. The rest is pretty simple and self-explanitory, we'll be here to help if you need us

If you take pictures with your Blackberry you might want to check out Welcome to ITookThisOnMyPhone.com - Automatic Wireless Photo Upload

Everytime I take a pic with my BB it automatically send the pic to a web site where I or anyone I authorize can view them. You can also then very easily save to pic to your hard drive. I've been use the program for a couple of weeks and works great.
