Default Entering phone numbers to directory

I prefer entering phone numbers in the format: xxx-xxx-xxxx. In the BB Pearl, getting to a hypen is a hassle (symbol key needed). So I've been using xxx.xxx.xxxx. I'm just wondering, do most people just enter a string of numbers xxxxxxxxxx without hyphens or periods? I don't like that as it's hard to read if you need to.

I have numbers in all different formats since the BB recognizes them all.

xxx-xxx-xxxx
xxx.xxx.xxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
(xxx)xxx-xxx
(xxx)xxxxxxx

Since the device recognizes them all as phone numbers, I don't sweat it.

On the Pearl I always used the periods as it was easy to type in.

I know you can use them all, I was just wondering if folks hassle with the hyphen when the period is easier to use on the Pearl keyboard.

Wirelessly posted

I had no clue mine are just numbers but I might change this for ease.

I am the same... Wish they would put in an auto-format option like the Apple Address Book.
