Default BB is deleting texts, call logs, etc.

Can someone tell me why my BB is deleting this stuff? Last night I was just chillin', i had some very important text messages and now they're all gone. Same with my call logs. This is about the 3rd time that this has happened. My address book and all that is fine but I'm losing just like 1 day worth of texts and call longs but everything else is fine.

This is a common issue related to memory. I did a search (at the top of the page) for the term "call log" and got this:

You're running short on memory. Go into Options >> Status and look at your free memory. Then pull the battery and go check your free memory again when it comes back up. If you are still short on memory think about deleting some items.

There are many threads on here to help you clean up. I have a batch file in one of my posts that will delete unnecessary files.

Mine has been deleting text messages now for 2 days .... I have had this phone since February (BB Curve). Question is, how much is "short on memory"? I am getting a number but don't know how much I need. I keep my emails deleted and have nothing in my cache....assistance appreciated.
