Default 8130 - Desktop sync issue, calendar problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all... i'm having a problem with my Verizon pearl, and Blackberry Desktop Software/Intellisync...

when i sync my BB, it will not sync the calendar. I have it setup correctly, to use my outlook calendar, ... Memo Task and Address Books work fine, just Calendar.

no errors, it just will not show when syncing.

i have "repaired" BB Desktop, removed the mapping to the calendar and put it back, rebooted numerous times, both PC and Phone (battery out)...

i've checked the logs, and there are no errors, it just won't sync with the calendar..

it worked in the beginning, i was able when i first got the phone, up until yesterday...

any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

-Frank

When sync was working and you've not changed anything in DM, and then you have problems, the likely issue is corrupt data base. I can't explain why you don't get an error or see anything in the log, but I would scan the calendar for anything that stands out as odd. That failing, I would try using the advanced feature in backup/restore in DM to delete the entire calendar on the blackberry and then re-sync. If that doesn't fix it and you sync settings are all correct, then I don't know.

Thanks for the reply.. i forgot to mention that i actually did that.. i backed up the calendar database, which held 338 records... i then deleted it.. rebooted the pc and phone, and tried to sync, and calendar just won't show in the "syncing" messages, .. .i had to restore the database so i had data in my calendar...

Is the Calendar properly mapped in the DM > Sync configuration... You do see the calendar mapped to the Outlook Calendar?

I know you say it was working for a while before your troubles, but just a stab in the dark: If you are using DM 4.3, how about downgrading to 4.2 and giving that a try.

Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

That's interesting. Did you just do a security wipe, or total wipe with JL_CMDR and reinstall OS?

That is weird. At least to me. I don't understand either why your first effort at deleting the database did not work.

Maybe slightly different on your OS, but maybe not:

Options > security options > general settings > menu > wipe handheld
