According to the AT&T site's Spec List, 8110 that has GPS also has "Simultaneous voice and data capabilities".
Now, I can understand BBs with WiFi (have 8820 myself) being able to do that using Wifi for data pipe while cell net for voice. But what about 8110? it does not have Wifi, or does it?
Could anyone answer this? And I did search, but was not able to find info specifically about 8110.

Thanks,

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

The GPS can actually update simultaneously while on a call, since it does use a different sigal, however the data to update the maps would not.

I understand about GPS. It does not actually use data transfer. It just receives a signal from multiple satellites and triangulates. Data only used with GPS to transfer maps.
But the spec sheet is not talking about using GPS. It specifically lists data. Which to me means it can do voice calls and emails at the same time. That's what perplexing. Either this is a mistype on AT&T's part or there is something in 8110 that allows this to happen.
Which is it? I am more inclined to believe a mistype, but wanted to make sure before I run out and get one (if it's true )

So, any 8110 from AT&T users out there? Can you confirm or deny this spec?

Thanks,

Is there really no 8110 users that are able to comment on this question?

the 8110 cannot do voice and data simultaneously. The xx20 devices can because of the WiFi the 9000 is also supposed to do this.

My best guess is that they copied and pasted the spec sheet for the 8120 and used it for the 8110 with minor changes regarding the Wifi and GPS respectively.

Looks like this one may have fell through the cracks during proof-reading!
