I have a VZW 8130 running the latest firmware (.97) and whenever I get a text message, I can't pull up the menu options in my non-sms mailbox. Everytime I hit the menu key, or trackball click on the date, it tries to open a new email. It only does this if I have a text I haven't marked read, which is really annoying if I'm in my mailbox, and I get the stupid Verizon text that I have a VM that I can't shut off.

I've tried battery pulls. Anyone else get this?

Not sure I understand your issue, but to get to your SMS box from your mailbox press Alt+?.

scottjb -- I know how to get to my SMS mailbox. This is my second Blackberry in 3 years. I'm fairly well versed in basic function.

My problem is that when I have a text message that I don't care to read (because Verizon spams me when I have a voicemail) the menu in my email mailbox doesn't appear, and pulls up a new email instead of a list of options.
