Default Moving saved SMS and emails to a diff device?

How do you do this. I got a replacement Pearl and when I did the backup/restore...it moved all except saved messages..How do you move them?

Actually, you should use the Switch Device Wizard in the blackberry desktop manager. I was actually quite impressed the one time I tried using this to move between pearls, everything.. settings wall paper, theme all were imported to the new device (and oh yest sms texts and email).

If you want to do it manually, i think you can do a backup and restore to a new device.
