I'm trying to convice my dad to get me a blackberry pearl for graduation but, he doesnt think that it's a good phone for some reason and it's lacking things it should have? But people who have the blackberry for verizon have y'all had any problems with it and are you happy with it?

Blackberry has one of the most stable Operating Systems of any smart phone. It is superior at email over any device. Recent additions of camera and media have taken it into the mainstream. You will find people here that love their blackberry!

I am a Verizon Pearl owner, I've had exactly zero issues - no phone call quality issues, no build quality issues, no OS issues, no issue of any kind (unless you count the memory leak which is really common to the Pearl line in general) and I absolutely love it.

The form factor, features, and (in my area) reliability of the Verizon service make it a winner in my book. I've heard some have issues with new phones - that's not been my experience at all.
