Default Sorry im a bit slow... is there a new Pearl available?

Please Login to Remove!

I got my BB Pearl in Aug 07 and its been great... apart from the rubbish camera and poor bluetooth connectivity between other phones for swapping pics and music etc.

Am i right in thinking there is a better version out now though?

What are the main improvements?

thanks in advance

Nathan

The 8100 is the base model - i.e. just a blackberry
The 8110 (which is now available) has GPS and comes in blue or (sickening) pink
The 8120, which may only be available on the business store now, has Wi-fi and comes in dark blue (as per O2 colours)
The choice is pretty much what you want to use it for
If you want to sit in your living room and browse the internet between emailing a friend then the 8120 is the one for you
If however you would like the GPS functionality then go for the 8110

What error message comes up when you try to send stuff? Does it say 'Unable to pair with...' ?

Wirelessly posted

I have an 8100 and can Bluetooth files just fine.
What problems are you having when you pair or try to receive?

I found yesterday, through trying to pair with a friend, that not only do you have to use the 'Bluetooth Setup' tool to create a connection between your device and the other's device, but to recieve a file, you have to go into Media, then menu and 'Recieve Using Bluetooth'
Tricky, but a good idea so as not to get any unwanted files sent to your device without your knowledge.
