Hello all, and thanks in advance for taking the time to read my problem. Anyway here we go... I was installing OS 4.3 on my second blackberry (pearl) and for some reason it told me that the install couldnt be completed due to a fatal error on the software, it also told me were my backup was so when i went to back it up i umpluged the cable from the phone while it was trying to load it and now my blackberry is just black. All i get is a black screen as if the phone cant turn On, and a red blinking indicator. What has me worried is that now i connect the hpone to my laptop and it will not recognice the phone and DM tells me that there is nothing connected to it even though the phone is connected. My question is as follows.... Is there anything i can do to reinstall the OS or is the phone pretty much dead ? Any help i get will be appreciated greatly. Thank you all for any feedback and help i get.
i can do that? Even though the pearl doesnt even turn on and the computer doesnt even know it is connected to it and DM doesnt even detect the connection to it?
OK !! Great, will give it a shot. One more thing, I thought 4.3 was a tried and tested OS and not a beta. I am confused. Will post back with results and thanks again friends.
Yes, I assumed he was loading to a 8100, and 4.3 would a good OS for the newer 8110, 8120, 8130 models. Either it worked.
well, you assumed right, i was loading to a 8100, and i am sure thats the reason why this happened to me. I loaded the rght OS (4.2) and it is working like a charm. Thanks guys, it was awesome the way you all helped just by having this forum, and thanks JSanders for the one on one help.
