Question Confused about Email settings?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

I have recently bought a new Blackberry phone to replace my old Nokia E51 (which my son broke!). Basically I am on an Orange Dolphin contract and I was hoping I could use the Blackberry to view my emails when I am in a Wi Fi zone.

However I am having a few problems getting started: for example a lot of the guides mention 3 options when setting up email whereas I only have 2, either not at all or via Blackberry enterprise.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi

Do you have oranges blackberry with talk package or blackberry internet solution tariff added to your voice tariff? You will not get email using the device features without this.

Of the 2 tariffs the blackberry with talk is the best.

If you have this your activation may not yet be completed. When it is you will receive an email settings icon and a browser icon.

With wifi only you must browse to your online account or perhaps use a 3rd party application that works over wifi.

Unfortunately, I do not have a specific BlackBerry Tarif - but I am getting the feeling I might need one!

Looks like I need to call orange!

Thanks for your help!

It is your choice whether you get one or not but your BB use will be MUCH richer with a blackberry tariff. Go for the talk with blackberry one as it includes 250mb of data use as opposed to 6mb for blackberry internet solution. Both cost the same.
You must combine it with a monthly voice contract not pay and go.

Welcome to BBF by the way
