hey guys, is my first post in this site and I'm impressed by the amount of information you could find here!

I am having an issue charging my pearl. Yesterday, I had it plugged into the wall charger for about 3 hours but the battery charging meter didnt move up. It shows the connector icon but it doesnt charge. However, this morning I plugged it to my USB and that works. Do you guys think is the Wall Charger that I need to replace?

Possibly you do need to change the wall charger but try it in a different electrical socket first to be sure.

Or the cord going to the wall charger. If the charge symbol is present on the screen, it should be charging.

I called my friend up and he will come tonight with his charger to see if that works. I'm still scratching y head though...

Yep, some wall/car chargers won't charge the BB as they're using the wrong pins on the cord. If a "Blackberry" charger doesn't work (or a motorola, as I know those work too) then you may have a damaged pin on your USB port on your BB.

Eh... I have damaged pins... at first it was just it wouldnt charge with wall charger or car charger - only the PC. Now it only sporadically charges with PC... So what can we do? Just get a new phone? Try to get it repaired?

Yeah but downtime with no phone or internet?! GAH! I want a curve but jeez they still want 349 for an upgrade!
