I put my phone in standby before I holster it because I don't like the keyboard lock. Every time I take it out of the holster the phone automatically wakes up. Does anyone know of a way to not have the phone automatically turn on when it's removed from the holster?

No, that is how the case is designed. You could get a case that is not meant for a BlackBerry and does not have the magnets and problem solved.

Ok, thanks. So I guess the only automatic option when I put it in the holster is for the keyboard to lock? I can't have it to go into standby instead, correct?

I've got a Verizon 8130 with the Verizon holster. I press the Mute key to put it into standby mode before holstering it. It never wakes up when I pull it out until I press the Power key. Before I used the Mute key, I got tired of having to close whatever application started up while holstered, especially the Voice Command feature.

Hmmm, well that's exactly what I do, I put my phone in standby using the mute button on the top of the phone but when I take it out of the holster it automatically takes itself out of standby. I wonder why mine does that and yours doesn't?
