keypad inop, possible moisture, help?

I was typing a text, and my hands were wet from doing dishes. Then the keypad just quit working, and the trackball still works. What do I do about this? I've reset it by taking out the battery, but it doesn't help.

TAKE THE BATTTERY OUT NOW!
