Upgraded to this OS last night, from the OS that came with my phone about 6 months ago. Took about 30-40 minutes, worked flawlessly.

As for changes...so far the only changes I've noticed are;

I can now open/view/save attachments that I receive via my blackberry email address.

The phone's performance increased just a little bit. I.E., BBweather opens/closes a bit faster, and so on.

I'm just installing this new update on my Blackberry now. I've never done it before...

Before I install it, I get a message that says "After completing the loading operation, you must activate your device wirelessly to continue to send and recieve messages and use other Blackberry services. If you do not want to continue with this operation press cancle."

This may be a dumb question, but how do I activate my Blackberry wirelessly after the update installs?

Ok, Ive run into a problem. Without looking into my BES, I made the mistake of starting to install the update. In the middle of the update I clicked cancle (stupidly)..the whole thing froze so I had to reboot. Now my phone won't turn on and I'm unable to try and reinstall the update.

Take out the battery, and (with the battery still out) plug it in to your PC. run the application loader, and it should reload the OS. After its done you can put the battery back in.

This takes like 45 min, so be patient.

the first night I had my pearl, my power went out while I was updating. BBF saved it. I thought I was gonna have to take it up to verizon.

good luck.

I can confirm that. You can choose the 8130 software, but there isn't a link for the download.

For those having a problem getting the link:

DO NOT choose the one that says:

BlackBerry® Pearl (TM) 8130 smartphone

instead choose the one that says:

BlackBerry 8130 (TM) (near the bottom) and you should be ok.

Hope that helps!!!

Enjoy ALL

I updated my software last night. I'm just wondering did anyone else get a messed up screen right after taking pictures w/ the blackberry cam? This never happend to me before until I installed the update. It seems as if something is wrong with the resolution or screen settings..?

Messed up in what manner? Is the issue in the picture you took, or what?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

No MMMS on Sprint. Sprint doesn't support it.
