is there a way to get my att unlocked to have the tmobile start up screen

The start up screen is not changeable. If it says AT&T now it will always say AT&T. No way to change that.

The start up (splash) screen is burned into the device. There is no way to change it.

You can install any version of the 8100 firmware onto it (it is all written by RIM and tested and released by the carriers) but it still can't be changed.
