Default Using ATT Blackberry on TMobile

I have an 8100 that I purchased through ATT a year or so ago. If I cancel my ATT service, is it possible to use this handheld with TMobile service? Does it have to be unlocked or hacked on some way for this to happen?

You would need to have it unlocked.

Thanks for linking me to that FAQ. Very helpful.

It mentions that most carriers will give you the unlock code. Does anyone know if AT&T does this? My account (corporate) is in good standing and my line of service was established almost three years ago.
