Have any of you come across the problem where the address book in your outlook contacts does not match up with the address book on your blackberry..?

Any help would be appreciated..

Not sure of your issue here, msokey_jnr. Can you elaborate.

Are you trying to sync with Outlook and ?

basically got a whole load of contacts in outlook address book but not all of those are being displayed in the blackberrry address book...

Are you on a BIS server or a BES server?

Smokey, on your BB open the Address Book > Menu > Filters. Make sure all are UNchecked and save.

If that works for you, it is a common mistake by users setting a filter and not knowing it. See what a difference detail in a question makes?

what is a BIS server.. we are on a BES server.

BIS is the personal BlackBerry Internet Service. Knowing you are on a BES would be helpful also. Make sure none of your contacts are set to private, as well.

both the settings are UNcheckecked..... what else could be the problem.

Since you're on a BES...
Check your wireless sync settings on the device.
Address Book > Options > Wireless Synchronization = ?

wireless sync is on......

Try turning it off, wait a few minutes... and then turn it back on.
If that doesn't work, contact your BES administrator, and have them check the address book sync settings from the server side.

on the BES the address book is to bi-directional as the image below..

Maybe try reactivating your device?

Are the ones you are missing in your actual contacts folder, or a sub folder?

they are in the contacts folder....
