Default Email setup problems

I recently got the 8120 through AT&T, i love everything about the phone and have been able to setup everything but the email. Under the setup wizard, it only gives me the option of using a blackberry enterpirse server email or skip email setup, it does not allow me to use my own email. So then i atempted another method which is to go into "MEdia Net Home" and scroll down to "5 Blackberry Start." After going clicking on create new account and agreeing with the terms, an error comes up saying that my blackberry is registered with different service provider. How is this? And how do i get around this to setup my email?

Do you have the BES plan attached to your account instead of BIS? Either way, I would call AT&T to troubleshoot.
