Just bought a new BB and i love it so far, i loaded some ali and alx applications on my BB but i was wondering if there is any way to load .jad or other applications on my BB. thanx

Jad files are over the air downloads. Click on the download link via your BB browser

I dont have an internet plan yet so is there anyway to instal them through the PC?

I believe their is but I am not familiar with how to do it.

any ideas? i can install .jar files by putting them on my memory card and running them but not with my .jad files

Download to your PC, and move your JAD files to your Media Card, create a folder there called "Apps".

On your BB, go to the Media icon > Menu > Explore. Find the application JAD file and click on it to install.

Works well for me, such as with these JAD files.

I never use jar files. I do think I did once and it worked, I just don't recall.

Do i create the folder on my media card or on the BB memory? Because i created the folder "Apps" but i cant open it when i click explore, the files dont show up

Mobile file manager is a Blackberry App that lets you browse all of the files on your blackberry. I tried deleting all of the sample stuff because I was so low on memory and after I installed this app and browsed my devices memory at a file system level I was shocked at what I found. Browse to "device memory" then "samples" and you will see a bunch of folders that contain literally megabytes of junk. I was able to free up a ton off memory, and this app also helps me keep track of any music, Pics, Videos, etc that ends up in my device memory and easily move them to my memory card. It was pretty cheap and definitely worth it.

I think it's pretty pathetic that blackberry has not addressed this memory issue after numerous complaints all over the web. If they would just update the firmware to allow loading apps on the memory card then we wouldn't have this problem. I mean, it's pretty bad when you determine your application purchasing decisions not by the price of the app but how much precious memory it will consume.
