Hello,

I tried browsing to see a solution to this problem but i couldn't find it. I have a Pearl and every time i go to add a person on my contact list i type in their email and it sends the request to my self. I know there is the PIN request way to add but i dont always have their PIN and it may be awkward to ask that of my customers. I would like to just type in their email addresses and have it send out. Is there a setting that i have wrong which is not allowing me to add anyone? Why does the request always come back to me and when i accept i end up adding myself to the contact list. I have two emails on my phone, one a gmail, the other through outlook.

Adding by PIN is more dependable, it really is. The new OS is about to make this easier, but you do still need to know the other person's PIN.

I don't know why the request comes back to you and adds you, that is a first for me, I have not experienced that.

Are you using GMail?

if you are sending using your gmail, you will get a response from yourself.

to fix this, log onto your carriers BIS, then add a filter on your gmail account to block email with your email adress in the from field

Thanks for the tips, I got my self logged in and now added the filter. (That was a annoying thing that I was going to fix too, thanks) I was able to send the request and it was not looped back so pending the acceptance, things look fixed THANKS!!!
