quickie for you all..

i am in spain, i have a friend who is using his blackberry here (it is an american number), problem is i can't receive his sms' on my blackberry from him. he receives mine no problem and we both can receive each others phone calls.

he has no problems sending messages to other people here in spain..

do i need to do some adjustments somewhere?

mine is orange, not sure what my friend's is..

but the weird thing is, he can send sms to other people here in spain with spanish providers like orange or telefoncia.. but i don't receive them..

do i need to do something with the area code..??

i have no trouble receiving messages from france or australia..
