I'm sure that it is since it's a German release. The "M" in the file name indicates MultiLanguage.

This OS is MultiLanguage.

The filename beginning with "8100M_xxx" the 'M' indicates Multi-Language.

I just upgraded my bb today and everything seems to be working beautifully. I do have a question however about the music over bluetooth that was supposed to be enabled in this release..... has anyone figured out how? I have just a standard bluetooth earpiece but figured this would still work for listening to music, but I cant get it to work.

Any ideas on what I need to be doing or if anyone has had success with this option?

Thank you all in advance,
Smassie

Are you sure that this O/S update wouldn't fry my card on my T-Mobile BB Pearl 8100? From reading the posts some users said it was okay, so I just installed it ahead but just to make sure is it still safe? What would happen? The main post said that in a week it would fry out. Does it explode or fry my battery or anything? I just want to make sure that this is safe for my BB that is all.

Shaythong--the "fried" SIM cards were primarily reported from TMo users, on the 8320 BlackBerry model, using OS 4.5.0.37 version. Could it happen to yours? i don't know know, maybe.
Is it it likely on a 8100, i don't think so.

I think you are safe.

I am not aware of that feature being added--could be, but unawares to me.

Good luck.

I'm having trouble Gmail. When I start gmail I get this:
Error: an unexpected error occurred during program execution. Please try again.

However it loads fine and I can read my email. I do not get notified like I used to though.

Then when I exit gmail I get this:

Uncaught exception:java.langNullPointerException

Any fixes?

I'm using an 8100 v4.5.0.37

You are using the GMail application?

In your OS upgrade, did you load the DocumentsToGo application? If you didn't, go back and add that in the AppLoader process. For some reason, many third party applications such as JiveTalk and others do not work without DocsToGo loaded--and get that same error--until loaded.

Good luck.

I was basing my assumption from an article on PC Mag:

Quote:
If you have a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 or BlackBerry 8800, you'll get:

• Spell check (H)
• BlackBerry Maps with Points of Interest (H)
• Improved media player with playlist support and automatic playlist generation (H)
• Voice note recording (H)
• Streaming support for YouTube and Sling Player (H)
• Bluetooth stereo music (H)
• Microsoft Office document editing with DocumentsToGo (H)
• Native format attachment downloading (S)
• HTML e-mails (S)
• Over-the-air device upgrades (S)
• Free/busy calendar lookup (S)
• Searching the server for old e-mail messages (S)
I had assumed that it would still play on a single earpiece, but perhaps I am mistaken. I will keep searching and if all else fails, wait for an official TMo release and read the notes. LOL

Thank you for the response though J, I appreciate that.

Smassie

Edit: Added link to PC Mag article.

I will assume (and stand to be corrected) that you must have a stereo earpiece to gain that feature. I'm betting a standard earpiece won't be upgraded with an OS upgrade.

Thanks for the information. I have just installed the new OS and it's been loading a little slow, but I heard after a day or so it would load faster. The only problem is the white balance in the camera. I hope they fix it up soon.

When I installed it I ran the configuration tool and it showed up with multiple languages, not just English.

Is there anyway to restore the normal address book display instead of the blocky fat lines?

I know u said it is multilanguage, But when I try to change the language it only shows me English, not another language only english, don't know why... I installed this OS posted here and followed the instructions as posted ...peace...

Edit:

Lol, I installed the OS on a T-mobile BB 8100 and it only shows English language and I also just installed the OS on a normal BB ( unbranded ) and It does shows Support on multi languages, any clues why this happens ? ...peace...

Peace x2.

In your OS load, you would have been given a choice in App Loader to install or not (check or UNcheck) the boxes for the other languages. You must have left them unchecked, not to load.
