i have installed 4.5.0.18 on my BB and as stated earlier the cam works fine with this one.

have those ones with camera probs already tried to set the "default flash setting" or "white balance" to different/manual settings?

my .18 works quite well, only issues:
- media gallery for pics very very slow, hour glass stays at least minutes
- some text messages are never received or only at a later moment, when I send a text message or call someone, which seems to work like "activating wireless"

do you think I should upgrade to .37? anyone did 0.18 --> 0.37?

Does it matter if you are using Desktop manager 4.3 or 4.5? Is there a difference from one to the other? I'm such a noob, lol....

All the icons are shuffled...on the upgrade it didnt transfer everything....

How long should it take the phone to boot up after the install? I had to do a full wipe, and now, the installer says it's done, but all I have is the spinning hourglass....

Thanks - I guess I'll take a look in the morning. Is it ok to throw it on the charger overnight (i can't see why not...)

Can you tell I'm losing my upgrade virginity on this one?

Turns out that was mostly due to disabling the bluetooth led.

I haven't disabled the led to try and duplicate, but I'll bet it's gone.

Hmm, as in disabling the led would force the issue? I've never disabled it, and have always had the issue. I'll try this 4.5 OS before I run my mouth though.

I've had NO drops of bluetooth in any of the 4.5's.

I have done looking around in the Beta forum but have been unable to find anything describing the same problem...do you know of a better way to describe it so I can use a better key word perhaps?

The only downside to this update is the camera. It's absolutely horrible. Outside most of the time it's completely white. Sometimes inside it's so dark you can barely recognize what you are photographing. This happens at all settings.

Can't wait until the ATT 4.5 OS is available.

Hey guys, I have installed the OS and it is perfect. However, I am not sure about the languages selections as I need Arabic and it is not part of the language set. Any help on how to get that working?

since I have installed this version I can no longer connect to the internet with the browser. Whenever I enter an address I get after a while a message "400 bad request; connection refused". Strangly enough I am able to follow the bookmark to RIM's blackberry homepage and the links it contains.
Other applications like google maps are also downloading data without a problem.

I know my company uses a proxy for the internet and in the past sometimes the browser asked me for the username/password; i dont know if this can cause the problem, but I do not find where this setting is stored in the blackberry? Can I for instance reset the proxy settings? thx.

-paull-, welcome to the BBForums.

I am not aware either of a place to set any proxy settings. Let me suggest that you first try rebooting the device (remove the battery while powered on, replace and reboot). That simplly solves 95% of the issues on a BB.

I found the answer to my problem for those that may be curious...

It took a google search for me to figure it out...

http://www.blackberryforums.com/beta...lus-theme.html

That is the answer right there. My issue related to the theme I was using. I was using the Today Plus theme which apparently was built different then the 4.3 and below themes causing it to bug out when you did a hard reset.

No fix that I could find is avalible right now. I dont completely understand the issue I just know it is apparently theme specific problem...I am switching to the L theme...I dont like it as much but it'll do. Hopefully the Today Plus theme gets fixed sooner rather then later...

Anyone here using this version with a BES?

This version runs fine when just using the BIS, but as soon as I Enterprise Activated my pearl, it became super slow, unresponsive and sometimes just hangs.

Anyone else experience the same?

I am still a bit of a noob.

I downloaded 4.3.0.115 from the tmob website and when I run the apploader, I can not get the update to show in the list.

Any suggestions.

Currently running:

v.4.2.1.107
v4.3.0.17 Desktop Manager

That is the Desktop Manager version. That is not the OS. You need to also install an OS to your PC. OS 4.2.1.107 is the latest OS released by TMo. If you want newer you can download the OS from the link in the first post of this thread.

Any word on when a fix might be available for the camera? It doesn't white balance correctly, all the pictures I take are white-washed.

Camera is horrible. Not sure why but I hope I can get a better version of 4.5 before September.

My upgrade attempt went totally unstable on BES. Had to reinstall 4.2
