Unhappy HELP 8100 keep restarting with OS 4.5.0.37

Please Login to Remove!

hi guys

I just upgraded the OS to 4.5 yesterday.
after that, my BB keep restarting all the time.
I dont know why...

please help me,thanks

It's due to your media card. remove or reformat the card (backup your data before reformatting.)

yes, i found it as well when i take out the sd card, the phone is fine...

i cant format because once insert the sd card, the bb will restart...
and i dont have a card reader.

Is there any other way?

then what if i wipe the os and install again?

no.

i thought john clark just went over this? you have to either reformat your card or remove it.

you can do either one. since you said you dont have an adapter, you're not able to reformat your card. so that leaves you with the only other option... leave the card out. there is a third option, and that's to buy a brand new card.

but there are no other options than that. otherwise, i'm sure he would have mentioned it.

i just format the card on pc and phone.
but the problem is still there.
keep restarting after a while...

Did you put files back on the card? Some have had problems with reboots when adding back video files.

Card must be blank when inserted into a 4.5 device. If you need the pics and
cannot connect to the pc then (it's gonna be long):

Remove card from BB.

Down-grade the phone to 4.2
Insert card
Connect BB to PC move pics off card
Format card in BB
Upgrade phone to 4.5
Insert the card to BB and format
connect BB to PC and transfer Pics to Card on BB

Thanks for all, john! i'll do it after downloading the new OS for my pearl! waiting to finish also DL new desktop manager, version, 4.5! I'm on the way tonight and will forward about my experience regarding this new upgrade.
