Default UMA working - 07-05-2008, 10:02 PM

I know it's been mentioned specifically that some (or all) Tmo devices have trouble with UMA on this version of 4.5, but I wanted to mention that my UMA is working fine. I am on Cincinnati Bell and using a 8120. I don't have any suggestions for the Tmo users, but it seems that it should be possible for UMA to work.

UMA works on a few devices with this OS. For most, though, it doesn't work. You are lucky.

I didn't realize that Cincinnati Bell offered UMA service.

I am on T-Mobile and using OS 4.5.0.42 (Platform 2.7.0.60) on my 8120 and everything has been working fine for the past three weeks.

UMA works fine and is more stable and clearer than ever before

HTML email really rocks!

And, last week I installed Blackberry Unite, version 1.1 and I really like that, especially the ability to browse and download any file from my pc and the remote control options if your BB gets lost or stolen, to include remote wipe.

I recently downgraded from 4.5 but I noticed today that my firewall is now unlocked and can be enabled/disabled at will. I disabled it when I had 4.5, couldn't do it on 4.3. It was worth the upgrade to downgrade!

should be getting my 8120 soon, and in preparation i'm wondering, is this pretty much the same version with the same issues as the 8100 version of 4.5.0.52?

if so what's the latest very stable OS for the 8120?

Upgrade went in with no issues on my T-Mobile Blackberry 8100.

BIG improvement. Love the predictive text drop down in Suretype!
