Default White background behind icon?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, there's a white rectangular background behind my "Downloads" icon. I tried switching themes, turning my phone off, turning all the connections off... nothing seems to work.

It seems to have appeared after I clicked on the "Download Windows Live Messenger" icon, but after it prompted me that there was a separate monthly cost, I declined.

Does anyone know how to get rid of that white background behind the icon?

Here's a link to a picture of my Blackberry screen:

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

I believe that icon is a custom push from bell. Try resending service books (Options -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> (Menu Key) Register Now) of if that doesn't work, pull the battery out for a few seconds and see if it's still there after it starts up again.

Or you can remove the service book for that icon altogether.

Thank you!

I tried resending the service books but it didn't work, it was still there. But I removed the battery for a few seconds, and it worked! The white rectangular disappeared.
