8130 keeps resetting
Ok I just bought a new 8130 from verizon. I used to have an 8100 from T-mobile. I took the memory card out of the 8100 formatted it and then put it in the 8130. I put all my old data back on to the memory card. Now we get to my issue. Every time I try and access my data on the memory card or try and write new data onto the card, after 30 seconds (yes I timed it. 30 seonds on the dot every time) My phone will reset. Doesn't matter what I am doing. Can someone please help. I have tried everything short of getting a new card.

Forgot to mention I am running OS 4.3.097 (platform 220.127.116.11)

Not sure what would be causing that. When I went to the 8130 (Sprint) from the 8830, my media card moved over just find and didn't cause any issues.....
Might be worth upgrading the OS, though. The latest one can be found here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...3-0-127-a.html

Ya thats what Im in the processing of doing now. The weirdest thing about this whole issue is that its fine until the moment I try and access the card for the first time, then its every 30 seconds like clock work.

Ok an update. I loaded the latest OS and everything went fine with that. Well I started to load my files back on one at a time and everything was groovy until I loaded something other than music. Didnt matter what it was. If it wasnt an audio file the thing flipped out and started resetting. Does anyone know of how to fix this issue, as I like to keep a lot of pictures on my BB. Thankee.

i had same issue with my pearl before, but when i format the sd card and leave it blank ,it was fixed.
probably it;s because of some pictures on your card.
so try to remove pics at first and see what happen.

Ok so the resetting issue has been solved, but in doing so created another puzzle. Why would a picture constantly reset a phone. I have three types of pictures on my phone. Jpg, PNG, and animated GIF's. So is this problem cause by file type or by file size?

Ok figured it out. The 8130 doesnt like strange file names. So watch what you name your files before you copy them over to your phone people. Keep it to the basic characters and symbols, nothing too exotic. It wont like it.
