Default Messages Folder- TXT vs E-Mail

Please Login to Remove!

My first BB... I have a loaner of the Pearl 8100 and am going to buy the 8110 if I like this one. 18 months ago when everyone in my office was getting Pearl's I didn't because it didn't have Stereo Bluetooth (been a VERY happy owner of the HTC 3125 and am bummed the discontinued that model) I'm excited that the 8110 has Stereo BT now.

Anyway... to address a HUGE issue the 8100 I now have...I do A LOT of BOTH e-mail (during the day) and text (at night). It's great that there's a folder for my E-Mail messages, but the generic "Messages" folder shows EVERYTHING. (It has my e-mails, my texts, my drafts of texts, sent texts, etc, etc) ... which is SO VERY ANNOYING.

I looked through the boards looking but didn't find anything about this, if there's already a thread about configuring this properly- feel free to send me the link for it.

I'm certain that I am not the only one that does a ton of BOTH e-mail and text messaging that needs separate folders to manage them.

PLEASE someone tell me how to achieve this.

New to this board, not sure how much traffic and such... very much looking forward to an answer on this.

Thanks in advance for ANY support around this issue.

Messages folder > Options > General Options > SMS and Email Inboxes = Separate.
Been there for a while since 4.2 OS came out.

Is that all you need to be happy?

hhmmm... not there. I can get as far as General Options.. but nothing that says "SMS and Email Inboxes"... I looked on the About Screen and it looks like I'm on version v4.2.0.73...

any other suggestions?? Sounds like that is EXACTLY what I'm looking for! I don't want to get too ahead of myself here... but can I separate my Incoming from Outgoing and Drafts, etc in that folder (once it's separated from my e-mail)?

this makes me happy... yes, especially when I find or download the fix for this.. that and winning the lotter would make me and my three ladies VERY happy indeed

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. What do you suggest I do next to get that option on my screen??

Thanks!

AWESOME! Thanks. I'm still loading the sync software now, I'll upgrade it when that's done.

So... do you have the winning LOTO numbers for me as well? I have three beautiful women to take good care of! I'm sure one of them would than you in a way that you won't forget, lol... feel free to private message me those numbers...
