Default Question About Charging?

Please Login to Remove!

so, we can charge our blackberry through the wall or through USB.

I was always under the impression that you should only charge a device when it is empty, and unplug it only when it is full; that way the charge exercises the full capacity of the battery maximizing batter performance and improving battery life.
but, do todays batteries have that same downfall? do they have that memory?
the reason i ask is because i dont know if i will damage my battery by hooking it up for 5 mins (and inadvertently charging it) to put some pics on my cpu and then unplugging it.

thanks for the help.

I think its ok to plug and unplug it not really sure about that but if your battery is a lithium ion battery you should always keep it topped off as much as possible that's what I read on a FAQ though

You are safe, charge as much as you want. 1 minute or 3 days.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8100 Pearl)

Although it won't hurt to completely run the battery down and recharge about once a month or so.
