8120 sim card removal tips?

I remove my sim card regularly, since I swap the sim card into a cheap junk phone when I am fixing cars, or doing other such where I could easily damage/destroy my phone.

I find that removing the sim card in the 8120 feels very risky, and every time I take it out I feel like I'm going to snap the sim card. Or maybe damage the sim slot in the 8120. Is there anything I can do to make this easier? Anyone have any tricks for this?

Note: the 8120 has a totally different sim card slot than the 8100/Curve/etc (which were easy to remove).

I use a toothpick to get mine out sometimes.

Is there an easy way to do it?

You can try using a pencil eraser, too.

use one of your right hand finger nail to lift up the exposed end of the sim card, then use your left hand finger to help sliding out the sim card. Very easy to do

Pencil eraser is what I used to use on the older BB's that didn't have the latches.

What does that have to do with getting the sim card out of an 8120?

This is currently the best way I have found to do it, but I still have a lot of trouble. My finger slips and it just doesn't want to slide unless I apply a lot of pressure, which leaves me relieved every time when I finally get it out that I didn't break (at least this time) the sim card innards in the process.

I might try this again with an eraser though. :)

So blackberry has used this method in the past? Before the latch, they had it originally like this?
